Network
The Network department operates the SWITCHlan network, connecting the Swiss universities and most higher education sites in Switzerland to the Internet. Customers from higher education institutes can contact the Network Operations Centre (NOC) for technical assistance.

Security
The Security division operates a range of different services to ensure that the education and research network can be used securely. SWITCH provides services to support secure access to the network including for visits to partner organisations, the correct identification of users and services beyond the boundaries of individual organisations, and the efficient, mutual use of resources.
